True Food Kitchen
True Food Kitchen has built its reputation around seasonal ingredients, chef-driven menus, and a distinctive dining experience. As the company continued to grow, leadership wanted to create a more consistent way to communicate its culinary philosophy, culture, and operational standards to team members across the country.
Five Stone Creative partnered with True Food Kitchen to develop a nationwide training initiative that combined authentic storytelling with practical education, helping new and existing employees better understand the people, values, and culinary approach behind the brand.
The Challenge
Restaurant training extends well beyond teaching recipes and procedures. Team members need to understand the purpose behind the menu, the company's culture, and the guest experience the brand strives to deliver every day.
Because True Food Kitchen operates restaurants in multiple markets, the training program also needed to capture the brand's authentic personality while remaining consistent enough to be used throughout the organization. Rather than relying on scripted studio productions, the content needed to feel genuine and reflect the people and restaurants guests interact with every day.
Our Approach
Five Stone Creative traveled to True Food Kitchen locations across the country to document real restaurants, culinary teams, and leadership in their everyday environments.
Working closely with company leadership, we developed scripts, produced training videos, captured photography, and created media that highlighted seasonal menus, culinary techniques, company culture, and the individuals who bring the brand to life. By featuring actual team members and real restaurant operations, the content provided employees with a more authentic and engaging learning experience than traditional training materials.
The resulting media became part of a nationwide training initiative designed to help restaurants deliver a more consistent guest experience while reinforcing the company's mission and values.
Impact
The partnership produced a library of training and brand content that supported employee onboarding, reinforced operational consistency, and celebrated the culture that defines True Food Kitchen.
By combining documentary-style storytelling with practical training content, Five Stone helped create educational media that informed employees while strengthening their connection to the brand. The success of the initiative led to an ongoing creative partnership supporting additional projects across the organization.
